Kitchen-ing Questions

By now best experienced on Chrome browser on not too old personal computer with above average system specifications. But some 10 year-olds are doing great as well!*

KITCHEN-ING QUESTIONS is a gamified performance. It is also an online performance. It is also a promenade performance. It is also an immersive performance. It is also a performance you can experience alone or together. It is also a performance you can just spend time in. As we did in our kitchens. Missing other people’s kitchens. It was the lockdown that made the time we spent in one’s kitchen feel forever. And instead of finding a way out, we decided to follow the paths of staying in: overproducing, overcrowding, taking time, imagining, resting, choreographing. 

It is created with the support of Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and In collaboration with ernst-may-gesellschaft e. V., Z-Zentrum, ID_Frankfurt, raumstation3539 eG and with the friendly support of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky Network.

*On some computers there is a specific click routine that has to be performed when transitioning in and out of full screen so that your cursor doesn't lose it's 360° capacities. It is indicated at the start of the performance as well as in the Help menu (H key). Please, follow that for having a good experience.

Once you've exited Full Screen for any reason and you want to go back to it:

1.  Press Full Screen only when you can activate the mouse arrow over the game window by hitting ESC several times

2. Wait for the Full Screen Button to disappear and click once more 

3. Now check if you can turn around all the way (360°)

4. If not, hit ESC to exit full screen and repeat

5. If this looks very complicated, the overall solution will be to dedicate some time only to the gamified performance, have no other windows or programmes open and don't go out of full screen modus until a sign tells you that you've reached the end.
